Simply put, the color and grain of this bowl is stunning. Photographs really cannot do justice to the uniqueness of the piece. The bowl is turned from a piece of cherry. A complex grain pattern emerged on one side of the bowl during turning. The cherry is complimented with blue milk paint covering the inside of the bowl. When viewed from the top, you’re met with the deep blue of the milk paint and a deep cherry ring of wood. the outside rim of the bowl is defined by a slight chamfer before curving away toward the bottom. This is one of my favorite pieces.
